These wild kittens are eating the meally worms that I leave out for the chooks. :idunno View attachment 3326808
Aww, poor babies. Would you be willing to feed them and let them stay there? My neighbor used to have several cats. They coexisted with the chickens quite well. The chickens actually outranked the cats.

I know. I love it. Flash is actually a very quiet girl, though. I need to capture her sweet voice on video sometime. It’s very subtle. Or maybe one of these mornings I can remember to take a video when I give them their sprouted wheat berries and Flash jumps up on a roost while everybody else is down on the ground.
Glynda is very loud. About as loud as Sydney and Sydney is loud if she is mad. I mean LOUD!

I’m trying to.
As @RoyalChick already suggested the kindest and most possible thing is the neutering , you cannot overload yourself Alex. Yes maybe advertise.

I saw this somewhere online, where boxes were built in an area where a batch of kitties congregated so they at least had shelter and people that cared would leave food and water.

So you know how we have 2/3 of an acre and my neighbor has 1 acre? The chickens used to use the other yard at will . Well, not anymore. Sadly, this is what I see outside my front door now.

The gate is absolutely massive. A large pick up truck can fit through just half of the gate. They no longer have access to that lovely meadow, so we’re going to have to maximize our yard.

When Flash comes back into lay, she will be loud, too. But her non-laying voice is a very quiet little thing. And her loud voice only comes out when she’s announcing an egg. Or calling someone to the nest or whatever you want to call it.

I don't know that I can call Aurora a hard molter. She seems like sort of a medium molter. No truly naked spots but lots rough patches if that makes sense.

If they are molting and not letting Peanut in, I would intervene. I would go out after dark and rearrange them. Starting with bringing popcorn in the house if she hates it. After you do that mine tend to roost as far from the door as possible the next night. I won't tolerate a molting hen being left out because someone is being a bully. That is not allowed here.
That's my kind of way Bob 👍 ;)

Not in my field of responsibility to do so. (I’m gonna need to find them homes. I wouldn’t take care of cats enough (been there before)

And actually, with the other animals under my care, and considering what I have lost lately, new cats are not too much of a concern for me now. I have made sure that they are fed. But I’m not allowing myself to get anymore involved than that!
