Oh I look forward to seeing your photos in that caseI've been wanting snow for a while now because I want to enter the Winter on the Farm contest and I can't do that without snow! I mean, imagine taking a picture of your chickens on depressed looking grass and trees with no leaves... represents winter but snow increases chances of winning. I'd do the Chilly Coop contest but the coop is not a coop... it's a shed that used to hold the lawnmower...
Hahaha me too! Mosquitoes and all!Oh, how we love summer. I'll be happy when the holidays are over and New Year's arrives and departs.
It’s impressive. Thanks so much for taking the time for such a thorough response to Buttercup!I'm glad you liked it.
That one took me 2 weeks to finish.
Make sure anyone who is I’ll with cold/flu stays away, your body is under stress so you don’t need a virus on top of thatSo I was supposed to be sent home with a abdominal wrap but when it came time to leave they could not find one. Me and mom rigged one up this evening using the wrap that keeps her ice packs on her lower back. That and the ice are a huge relief. Mom is also a lpn, so she has insisted I do deep breathing exercises, controlled coughing and walking to the living room and back. What she could not prepare me for was that first sneeze. It hurt, and I cried.
I am sure Buttercup will give it some serious thoughtIt’s impressive. Thanks so much for taking the time for such a thorough response to Buttercup!
You can also put plastic up to your windows, I do that in the house with our big patio slider out back. I put plastic on the outside to keep drafts out, you can also put it inside (I have done this in my room where my north facing window it. It helps with condensation and drafts!Today is 38 F and dropped down to 37 F. I think it might snow this evening. Tomorrow, it'll continue to snow and conditions may get worse around morning so they might as well close schools and make it an asynchronous day.
Grandma asks, "What do you hate about the cold weather?"
I don't like how cold it gets. Also, I don't like the condensation build-up on my window. In PA, there's a window company called Renewal by Andersen and they make fibrex windows that they say is better than wood and vinyl windows and don't bring in the cold and especially no condensation.
That’s awesomeUpdate. Seems that I might not have enough distractions in the run for the birds to enjoy. I was instructed to add a few things to the coop and run so the chooks won’t get bored. Jaffar is healthy enough, and at his age, his roosterness has no real problems. I need a treat-ball. A plastic mirror is recommended also. The therapist said that it’s okay for him to go to town with me, but only if he wants to. Jaffar likes car rides (in my newer car) I’m just glad there’s no underlying issues with Jaffar! according to the expert, he’s alert and attentive (and sweet)
So., yay, just yay![]()
Maybe take a photo of each month as we go through the year for all of usGuess what...
The BYC 2023 Calendar arrived! And I am so happy that it finally came. I took a peek and will not use it until the New Year (obviously)
