Thank you for your replies on your older ladies. I'm relieved to know that a more quiet behaviour is normal as our hens age. Mine are only three, but I suppose high production breeds are old quicker. @fuentemoon the three of them look in good health and are so pretty on this picture!

I'm sorry to hear of those of you sick and / or in pain. I hope it will pass soon enough.

It's pouring rain here after all the snow we had three days ago. We try not to grumble because we need it ! The gutters were unfortunately still blocked by snow so my partner had to climb on the roof full of snow under the pouring rain to get them clear .And the chickens are very unhappy right now.

Here are Merle and Gaston from yesterday and Chipie this morning. I just wish I could catch on photo how much water Gastounet spills around .

Gargle with soluble aspirin. It does wonders for the sore throat phase.
I am past that phase and at the interminable cough stage.

Yes I am there now, but have awesome cough meds my Dr prescribed. Just need to remember to take it before it wears off!

I have no aspirin here, but I do have a gargle I was given when I had my Covid/ strep throat. Of course it never lasts that long. As long as I can stop coughing my throat is not bad…

I kinda wish that I had a head cold about now. That way I wouldn’t be able to smell the cecal poop from Hen-Rietta, that she gifted me with this morning. But she was a good companion last night. We talked for an hour about chicken things.
