A hen might die trying to hatch. If she becomes hypothermic she won't move - that's the warmest spot nearby, then can't. I do hope she hatches safely and is no worse for the wear, but I am very worried for her with these temps!
Just one more night and then it will not dip below 27 at night for at least a week. Wednesday back in the 50s and 60s Friday. She survived the worst night with a low of 7 with negative wind chill. A few people have came and saw her and told me I need to break her up. Ok fine, there is the hillside, if you can climb it break her up for me. They quickly declined.
