Well it may not be a ceiling pipe. The water is just coming through the ceiling.
Ugh.

I would bet it's a hot water pipe. Do you have a shut-off valve for your water? If you're on a well I would kill the breaker or pull the disconnect to shut-off the pump. City water has a shut-off near the street typically.

My new 'bestie'. She has me trained! She knows if she hops up on the pallet near me, I will give her a private feeding (regular pellets). She is lower on the pecking order, and likes her private feedings where she doesn't have to fight the masses. She is a sweetie

Hope everyone had a lovely Christmas - I have been following along but haven't had time to post. Been a bit nuts here - I have a burst pipe in the ceiling from the cold so am kinda camping in my own home and trying to dry stuff out.
Hoping I can get a plumber here in the next day or so, but they are so busy it is hard. I guess my pipes are not the only ones that succumbed to the cold!

Oh gosh, such a bummer! I hope it gets repaired soon!

Are Betty and Hattie sleeping in nest boxes because of Aurora the Tyrant?

Sort of. I'm pretty sure Betty would love to roost but is not allowed to. Tonight's roosting shows that.

Hattie does get kicked off the roost sometimes but she also chooses to sleep on the floor in the winter so she can eat at night.

Tonight 3 in the main and 4 in the Cluckle Hut.
