Wow that’s sad! I would get a new livestock guardian dog! That one have now done 2 bad things with the chickens - poor hen - I see from other posts that you lost her, so very sad

I think she will just get trained and kept out of the chicken's pen. Her primary purpose is to scare the coyotes and foxes off, and to deter the bear.

Hello! I am new here, but I saw that today is Fluffy Butt Friday. Here are three of my chickens best Fluffy Butts from this morning! My rooster, Pastel and his adorable lady Bolt next to him. Then the one that wanted to be alone, Splotch, with a fine Fluffy Butt, as she did not lay yet today I have a RIR named BBQ, but she didn't want a picture of her fine Fluffy Butt today...I have four chickens: Pastel- a Bared Rock mixed with a Black Australorp- Bolt- A Buff Ameracuna mix- BBQ- Rhode Island Red mix- Splotch- Bared Rock mixed with Black Australorp. I also have 16 guinea fowl

Good lord! I just REALLY looked and saw just how many chickens you have! How many are there?!? How can you tell them apart? They are so cute and they look really happy!

You should have seen all the baby photos


If you ever get chicks you will need to post photos daily - I live vicariously through those who have chicks, it’s unlikely I will have any further chicks

Damage!

It looks like Glynda caught frostbite in the last cold snap. It has taken a few days for it to show up but it has the potential to take all of her comb tips. Only time will tell. I have some hope since it has taken this long for it to show up.

No one else is any the worse for the cold snap. Just Glynda. This will be the first time one of mine has ever suffered from frostbite.

Sorry about that Bob. That's got to be frustrating.

FYI we have a Caturday Saturday ( if you have a cat), and Pony Sunday were we post pics of our other pets friends - horses, donkeys, dogs, goats, cows, etc!
