Ah... See, when I thought she was an Ameracauna, I read that they are not cuddly birds- Well my chonky girl Bolt loves cuddles. 🤣 Are EE's and Buff Orp's known for loving cuddles?
I have Sage Eggers, Moss Eggers, and Azure Eggers in my group, and they are all from the same hatchery. They are all different in personality. My Ameraucana is my troublemaker, and the one I most suspect bit my Roo. So, I think it's a toss-up when it comes to mixes personalities.

Okay.. Here is Bolt, and her RIR hatch mate, Barbeque

Dear Aurora,
I think you know I am a HUGE FAN - and although I can never have a beard like yours, I consider you a role model.
I have heard my human servant talk about wanting more chickens. She often has fanciful ideas (like asking me to sit on her lap) so at first I just ignored it. But she has now said it several times and so I am getting worried.
What does she want with more chickens? Surely I am magnificent enough to make other chickens un-necessary? I enclose a recent picture so you can confirm that I am indeed magnificent.
Also, I still have my work cut out for me ensuring that I get the prime roost spot each night and I only have to battle dear Diana for that spot. I cannot contemplate needing to handle more than Diana. Honestly, it is exhausting just to think about!
I think I have to stop this whole idea before it gets out of hand. How can I get my servant thinking on more constructive lines like providing more treats instead of this more chickens nonsense?
Yours in complete awe of your achievements,
Bernadette

I must have said it already, but I have to say it again that I LOVE THIS PICTURE OF BERNIE. Chicken against chicken.

Hi folks. Just got back tonight from skiing with the family this week. Here is a pic my wonderful neighbor friend sent when he cared for them this week:

The little red coop is not really in use. It’s just sitting collecting dust and I hang the feed cups on it.

Anyway, I miss them! I can’t wait to hang out with the chickens tomorrow. It will be raining all day, however.

Did I miss anything big this week?

Love this Dear Aurora letter, and Bernadette is indeed magnificent!!!

Little Loosey Goosey just had me laughing until it hurt. My neighbor and Rosie's best friend Maddy has 7 little dogs inside. 6 chihuahua's and 1 tiny maybe 2lb if soaking wet chi x terrier mix. The little mix lulu is a escape artist and when she gets out poor Maddy has to chase her all over the neighborhood. I'm doing the dishes watching chicken tv out my kitchen window, everyone, including the boys were out there. I see Lulu sneaking around the back yard and then she starts mingling with the chickens. Now I have absolutely zero fear of this dog attacking the chickens, she has never bothered them at all. Goose spots her and stops eating. She then starts stalking her from behind getting closer. Lulu notices her and starts to walk away and Goose full on attacked her. I saw her chase Lulu out of sight with the poor pup shrieking. A few minutes later Maddy came knocking on my door. Goose chased her up onto her porch. The escape artist who never wants to be caught was begging to be let in. When they opened the door Goose was still in hot pursuit and chased her inside. Maddy had a very proud and squawking Goose in her arms. It is official the rest of my hens had better watch out, this tiny spitfire is going places when she is older.
