Do you think there is a chance she is just setting on her nest somewhere trying to hatch? If that is so, maybe you can grab her when she comes off of it eat and dustbathe.
I haven't done a snipe hunt in a looooong time.I was chasing shadows late into the night, with a flashlight. (Torch) for you UK peeps. It must have looked like I was on a "snipe" hunt.
