Also lost and not forgotten, dear Queenie, RIP. Here she was on her first integration day, having busted out and over the fence I had keeping them separate. Butters (right) and I think Peanut tag-teaming her, trying to peck her and pull her off the perch, pecking her butt and trying to grab her head. She had staying power and they didn't. She kept her head away and down and took it, and didn't give up!

Memories :hugs

Queenie was lovely. I am so glad you took her in.
It was one of those great events that occurred and was documented and jointly experienced here on this thread. It was one of the best things which has happened in our group and I remember the whole story fondly.

Oh the blast from the past mugs has hit home this afternoon. I was staring out at Bubba this morning thinking how gorgeous he was now that he is 1 1/2 and coming into his prime. Then it hit me like a ton of bricks. His daddy Drummie was this exact age when I lost him. Oh how I wish I could see what he would have looked like now as a Maran boy just gets better with age.
My blast from the past, Drumstick, the best roo ever.

p.s. We do not dare let Branch hear I said that under ANY circumstances.

Yes me too. I feel like I was there and remember the whole saga vividly!

He was magnificent!
So sad you lost him. That is another saga from these threads that lives vividly in my mind.

Awll, I remember the heartache when I had to leave behind my first lesson pony. It turned out for the best though, I got paired with a gelding I wasn’t fond of initially (I remember being quite upset). Turns out that gelding taught me sooo much! Your new pony, who you obviously aren't at all upset about (like I was), will teach you a-lot too!

Oh, trust me, in my last ride on Pippa, I was crying so hard that I am surprised that my eyes didn't fall out 😅
