Thanks. We are good in terms of mudslides. But things have changed a little. A HUGE eucalyptus came down and snapped a power pole in half. Not at my house, but the road to my house is closed. Here is the new pole. Note old, snapped pole behind it.

We have no power, no internet, and… wait for it…

no running water!

With all the fallen trees, there are line breaks. Our tiny water company will try to find and repair them tomorrow. I’m seriously collecting rain water to flush toilets!

Lots of power outages in town, too, not just up here on the hill. And I’m sure some of you have heard about our poor coastline.

The good news is, I bet this takes us out of drought status!

Oh no. Sorry about that. Hopefully you will have water today, and the rest soon!

I'm gonna try to post some old pictures of my chooks that I am organizing and save to my computer.

This is April 2nd of 2021, when we were still fresh chicken parents. We just expanded their "cardboard castle" to two chambers: play area and eating area. They haven't started exploring yet.

A close up. So cute and fuzzy. Foggy was clearly a roo even in this picture, but we were such newbies.

That is a great picture of her mug! She has lovely eye(s)!! If you put together a calendar of your chooks, this should be in it!:love:love:love

btw: smart chook - silly human!:lau:lau:lau

Really! The only thing mine don't like is Broccoli.
Partially cook it, and hang it like a cabbage. They'll learn to like it! (Well, Mum always said 'eat it, you'll like it or else,):lau:lau fortunately, I wasn't a picky eater - liked everything but hot dogs and broth!
