Eli is planning on giving flying lessons on BeakBook. Be afraid chicken tenders. Very afraid!
I love the curio cabinet. I use those mortar tubs too but for the kitty litter trays. Eli and Babs had them to bathe in during quarantine. I like the built up idea.

Tax: lesson 1 in Eli’s flying school - Babs needed some one on one instruction

OMG!!!

Hi folks. Popping in. Sad to say Lucky is in her final days, if not hours. I could probably tube feed to keep her going a bit longer, but that would be cruel and prolong suffering.

It seems the other chickens know. Here she is with Little Mill sitting vigil before I left today.

When they are old enough to use beakbook the Marshmallows may be interested in enrolling. They may not need it as Chiquita is doing her best to teach them to the best of her ability. They also watch the other chickens including Momma hen who had her crew on the hill yesterday branch hopping and climbing trees. I told them if by 3 months they are not tree hopping themselves, I will give them permission to enroll.

I'm so sorry. Pass peacefully Lucky. All my flock knew when Daisy was in her final hours and sat with her as well until after she passed. If you can not be with her the next best thing is to pass in the company of her flock mates.

That’s so sweet! I wish i could say the same about mine. Peep wanted to hop on my pillow so bad and eventually i gave in. The second he got on he pooped.
Peep may be a perfect candidate for a face mask diaper. I hate wearing the things but still have to wear them anytime you go to the doctor offices. I tend to throw them away the second I leave, but now I will not. Branch also has been regularly brought in since he was a few months old. I will normally put a towel on the bed when we watch tv. I have never tested him longer then 2 hours. He never leaves his towel, and only once has he pooped on it. Today with his diaper there was no towel. He got to explore the kitchen and then explored my bed for a little bit before deciding towel or no towel he needed a nap on his pillow. He let me know when he was ready to go back outside by standing up and crowing. If he crows on the bed that is my signal he is ready to head back out to the flock.
