I have a chicken question. I have a 5 foot fence but theres dogs on the other side. The chooks can see them if they were out. I have no foxes just have to watch for hawks. Can the chickens get over the fence or will they?
Buttercup, Blanche, Sophia, Misty, and Whiskers all fly over the 5' gate, Misty can fly up onto the door of the Hen House (7' up). So YES they will have no issues with popping over your fence.

Especially depends on the bird, too. My Japanese can fly directly up 10 feet with ease. A bantam cochin? would be much less graceful.

Yes I bet! Just hoping the Bielefelders and Brahma aren't as prone to 'flying the coop' as some of my others !

I had all the birds except for one, having breakfast with me. After we had our meal, I went to get Shenandoah from the coop. She was setting on an egg. I brought her inside and told her sternly “sometimes you have to think outside the box!” Then I fed her some scrambled eggs

No wonder Jaffar wanted to be inside the house:

Yes, some can. And so can the dogs, probably.
