Oh dearI loved the owl video, then went and found more from the same name, fantastic.owls, then went to a Facebook page that seemed to be connected- same name - that’s selling owls. Uh oh. Didn’t like the sound of that. I thought this was all from a rehab or sanctuary. @LozzyR do you know if these are or aren’t the same?
Anyway that got my antennae up because in New York USA most wild animals can’t be owned as pets, and the state wildlife agencies oversee rehab, sanctuary, zoo establishments. I found another web site with each US states’ owl laws on pet ownership. This Facebook page -that may or may not be connected to the particular broody owl Instagram video we’re talking about (several videos looked like they were filmed in the same location - and maybe they were by the same entity as the broody owl video) was listing San Diego California USA as the business location, and the phone number was a Colorado USA area code, and the email was a personal gmail account. The business started the FB page in the Fall of 2022. Anyway both states do not allow owls as pets.
Kind of wish I hadn’t investigated.![]()

Anyway to alert authorities?
Mr P says if they are doing this they are bad people
You tell them Mr P!
