Awww! you know I really love Barred Rocks right? :)

I have ordered Bielefelder chicks, they have barring pattern - you need to look up that breed of chicken they are quite pretty. Hopefully I am home by mid April to get them ❤️

thanks for the photos!
Eeeep! Bielefelders!! My feed store has some... I want them so bad!! No way though! I'm not even gonna ask my dad. He will yell at me "No more chickens, you spoiled brat!" Pft, excuse me sir, I'm not the one who failed spelling class! Or got sent to military school. Splotches dad is a barred rock at my school named Big Boy ( also Pastel's father) and their mom is a black Australorp. They probably have different moms though.

Well you can live vicariously through my chicks when I get them.

Re: Guinea fowl - I have been reading up on them, they sound very interesting. I shall like to have some one day. (and a camel, and an emu, and one of Kris' battle cassowary hahaha! :) )

Aw Jeeze...got busy and forgot to hit "post". Here's what I meant to post 3 hours ago:

Pretty sure BYC is a fairly safe place for young women. Of course, there are people trying to tempt you...with chickens. I'm with the others, I also thought you were older. Nice to find something you love so young.

I do that with my weight.

And my little flock at snack time.
Thank you!!

Lovely! I love that comb on that white one - how amazing! And wattles - you know I love wattles!

Thanks Sally PB (you know my horses name was Sally right?
The white one is my Chantecler rooster, Snowbird. He is very respectful of my space.

I feel honored to have Sally's name, btw.

Mine too, in May!

If any of you guys are interested in buying guineas. Cackle Hatchery is where I got mine. They have 4 colors. Royal Purple, African White, Lavender, and the most common one, the Pearl. I got 4 of each. I now have 1 royal purples 3 African whites, 0 lavenders:( and 2 Pearl's (this is in my original group.) My royal purples name in Guineass pronounced (Guinea-iss) He is a sweet man. My two African white males don't have names, as I can't tell them apart. The female is named Ridges. My one surviving lavender is names Mr. Lavender. He is at a person I am very close with(s) house with some other guineas. He was getting bullied by the others, so bad that he almost died. My Pearl's are named Harry and Madame Pearl. Harry is my flock leader, and he is a big, big man. Madame is a little female who mates with Harry during mating season last year. Harry is the grey in the front, Guineass is the brown with the white feather sticking out, and the other is a white male. Those ate all my colors!

Splotch is an alpha hen who knows stuff. She may not have the beard and muffs that Aroura has, but she is a tough cookie. Even I stay out of her way! She has attacked Pastel before, and they are inseparable!
