The rest of the birds are already in the coop bedding down for the night
Guess you have a house guest then!
If any of you guys are interested in buying guineas. Cackle Hatchery is where I got mine. They have 4 colors. Royal Purple, African White, Lavender, and the most common one, the Pearl. I got 4 of each. I now have 1 royal purples 3 African whites, 0 lavenders:( and 2 Pearl's (this is in my original group.) My royal purples name in Guineass pronounced (Guinea-iss) He is a sweet man. My two African white males don't have names, as I can't tell them apart. The female is named Ridges. My one surviving lavender is names Mr. Lavender. He is at a person I am very close with(s) house with some other guineas. He was getting bullied by the others, so bad that he almost died. My Pearl's are named Harry and Madame Pearl. Harry is my flock leader, and he is a big, big man. Madame is a little female who mates with Harry during mating season last year. Harry is the grey in the front, Guineass is the brown with the white feather sticking out, and the other is a white male. Those ate all my colors!View attachment 3418313
Lovely - just lovely - one day I will have Guineas (and you know the others... haha).

It’s raining here again. I’m going to bed early too. (Why not?!)
Are you doing ok Alex? how is your breathing? are you taking your puffer? how is your BP?

I did not know that. And you told me you were new at chickens 🤨
I researched them :) I am old enough to know what it was like BG (Before Google). Researching now is really easy!

Now that’s what I call a tax payment!
:love :love
Agreed! Those were wonderful! Esp those Guineas. You really need some!

I am going to sign off for a little, as my phone is low on battery.
OK - is it tomorrow you have your 'event'? If so good luck!
Is Aurora telling Hattie 'you try it first' to make sure it isn't tainted???

Love that look of Phyllis and Glynda posing like super models :)

Well not quite chickens but I will give you a half credit towards tax owed (they are lovely I want guineas when I win the lottery - and camel, and an emu, and one of @Kris5902 battle cassowary.... :) )
I’m also considering importing some lyrebirds, and training them to sing the imperial march from Star Wars to accompany the Goat/cassowary cavalry regiment. 😂

Aw Jeeze...got busy and forgot to hit "post". Here's what I meant to post 3 hours ago:

Pretty sure BYC is a fairly safe place for young women. Of course, there are people trying to tempt you...with chickens. I'm with the others, I also thought you were older. Nice to find something you love so young.

I do that with my weight.

And my little flock at snack time.
None of mine will eat broccoli. They are like George HW Bush. Can't stand the stuff.

Well DH has been sick since he got off work Sunday Night and is doing the full on Man Cold routine… so I lied to the Goats about their walk on Monday being with Daddy, but then the S*** came so they were happy to stay in, same for most of this morning, but by afternoon the cabin fever had set in. We got a little afternoon walk in and then Daddy was able to help me with getting Jimmy into the stanchion for ear care and his pedicure. Turns out those cute little elf ears are prone to infection, even worse in cold wet climates… he’s indignant but feeling better now.

Additional good news, the evil white stuff is starting to melt, hopefully it will all be gone by Thursday. Also, My Geese are back! So spring is definitely starting. No goslings yet but they brought all of last years babies back as well. And apparently a flock of 9 low flying, honking, excited Canadian Geese will spook your off leash goats in the field something fierce! 😂 wish I’d gotten some video of that. If they keep up with this success rate My goose flock may end up bigger than the Chicken one… maybe I won’t need the cassowary eggs after all?

Sheesh! what on earth! My kiddos have seemed to figure it out finally. And Henny even snagged the coveted spot on top of the top nest box hahaha - she is the 2ic after all...

I guess Betty has decided that she doesn't need the drama!

So every morning I have to go out and open the door for just Betty. She doesn't even get up until I open the door these days. She is living well.

They do carry themselves like super models. 😁

And what is it with red pepper innards? Those look like they should be delicious but my Princesses strongly disagree.
Mine do not eat any part of any pepper. Blech! 🤢

They also don't really eat raisins. Glynda will eat a couple. I bought a huge bag of raisins because everyone said chickens love them and mine won't eat them.
