They can climb higher than chicks.

Eggs being rolled out into the main coop. They will roll the other hen's eggs out of the nest box without the board across the front. That is Aurora's egg rolled out into the coop and Hattie's egg in the nest.

But I already have home for 5 chicks, so I'm ok with what ever hatches.

A Very Special Present

This has been a very special week at Fluffy Butt Acres. It was already great with the birth of the little chickies. It got especially so yesterday when a wonderful present arrived at my house.

Back when Maleficent passed @Shadrach reached out to me personally and said that he wanted to do something to commemorate her passing. Yesterday it arrived.

Someone once described his lamps as "tactile". That is truly an apt description. You cannot appreciate how wonderful they are until you can touch them.

This is one of the most special things I can remember receiving. Not that I would ever forget Maleficent but this lamp is the perfect commemoration for one of the lights of my life. It is truly a work of art.

Here I am working on getting them to like me. They do like going up high so I am providing elevator service. They are so precious clinging to my finger!
