Oh those poor poor beasts why must we humans be such idiots, those poor chickens look like they also don’t have wings

I have not heard of such a thing - I hope we humans don’t get to the stage of having featherless chickens for commercial use.

Even my dad thinks they're ugly. I can't imagine Grandma and Mr. P featherless... and you I love that gentlechick very much.

I was inspired to sing Rudolph the Red Nose Reindeer at one point

Visibility was under a quarter mile when I left for work and I almost got stuck ON the paved road when I stopped for the school bus. Roads were bare and mostly dry on my way home.

Here is a good sign, green grass under the old hay, the chooks are quick to scratch the hay away and eat the green shoots of grass.

I could swear I saw robins on the way home but it's awfully early for them to be back

The 2nd cochin mix just hatched. It is still very wet, but, unmistakably blue. I'm telling myself as far as I know these chicks are sold, these chicks are sold. Someone stop me from trying something. I've kept it quite, but Raven is broody and has been for a little over a week now. She is sitting on nothing. She took a chick last year after only sitting for a week. I want to rush out right now and give her the goose chick and this little blue one.

Let the eggs finish hatching, then do it.

That is sweet of you to ask. I'm still here. Who knows what tomorrow will bring. I have spent a lot of my time on FBA in the last 5+ years and I have enjoyed it. I've met some people that I consider to be good friends that I know I would lose track of you good people for sure. So leaving the site would not be something I would do rashly.

I just cannot stand to have my reputation called into question. To even have it implied that I don't take care of my ladies is too much.

Yes I hear you, I don’t even recall what video is in question (did I get that far along the thread), but as my gramma would say, who cares what some nobody thinks, it’s what your family and friends think.

I have suspicion they either caught it from the person that is the bloodline “carrier” of my Japanese bantams. She has given me Dixie, the eggs for Jolene, Gabby, Duck, and Peep, and the four eggs that hatched the chicks now.

Or, they caught it from a silkie that was in a split position with her legs in complete paralysis. I’m quite confident she might have had it but that was a while ago.

Jolene, Gabby, and one of the babies are acting off. Possibly two of the chicks.

Oh gosh. This is terrible.

Video Taken Down

YouTube has decided to take down the video of the fight between Hattie and Aurora from a few years back because "Content showing the malicious infliction of physical or psychological harm to animals isn’t allowed on YouTube."

I appealed on the ground that it was educational, not malicious in any way, and was denied.

Therefore, as of this moment, I am shutting down my YouTube channel. If I cannot find another means by which to share videos I will no longer be doing so.

Of course I am emotional at this point and may change my mind once I calm down but I can't see letting them make money off my content when they have accused me of maliciously inflicting physical or psychological harm to my girls.

The speed by which my appeal was denied was frightening. It was very clear they did not care to hear my thoughts. They had already made their minds up.

I do not take this accusation lightly. I will be consulting attorneys today but I expect that they will tell me I would be tilting at windmills to try and fight them on this.

I encourage you every time you view a video on YouTube to remember what they accused me of doing. I will never forget it.

I'm so angry for you! It's so wrong. But PLEASE don't let this ruin your enjoyment of BYC and FBA! You are needed here.
