Hi everyone,
Have I ever mentioned how Roxy sits around a lot? She has for some time, so I periodically check her over. She has had yellow urates in the past, but they seemed to self correct, or I thought she might be self medicating with wood charcoal, since I saw some black poops. That was months ago.

She’s been sitting more lately and I’ve been obsessing over squash and tomato plants, so haven’t checked her over. I have seen black poops for a few days and thought maybe she was eating wood coal again. Tonight before bed, she was open mouth breathing, flicking her tongue and moving slowly. Her abdomen feels fluidy. Her eyes were dull, too. Roxy was first to bed and had droopy wings. If she is still with us in the morning, we’ll be going to the avian vet. I will have an open mind that it might be just to put her down. 💔
I'm so sorry. :hugs:hugs

Bed Time Last Night

So I was up and ready when Sydney took them to bed last night. Everything went swimmingly until the very end.

You can see at the end Ned/Nanette out in yard on the other side of the coop. Sadly this resulted in several more tries as Sydney came back down to get him/her and Lucky came along. In the end I would have to help Lucky up onto the porch as she could not get both of them into the coop at the same time after the first effort.

They are getting much better at it. I still need to watch to be certain though.

And of course, Phyllis. photo-bombing again. :love

Obviously - that's because Bob is in possession of the lovely Phyllis and not him ;)
Ali, are you trying to say that Jaffar is jealous of bob for owning Phyllis? ( Jaffar is not, by the way). That's my job, to be jealous about Phyllis. Anyone would be. She''s a special bird!:D

How's Roxy doing?
Thanks for asking, Shad. She’s slow. She’s clearly uncomfortable. Not as bad as the end of the day yesterday, but she needs help. Trying to get her into the avian vet today.

Her comb is usually a vibrant red. Now it’s more like a yucky, unripe grocery store tomato.
