Oh, better not be Celsius! We'd be melting
You know, Farenheit is so messed up. I honestly don't get it. Celsius makes sense. 0 degrees is freezing, -2 is frozen and just 2 is not frozen.
Both of you owe tax for weather Whining.

FYI I would love it to be hot! And dry...

Don’t try too hard to translate metric into English!
Go have an ice cream cone

Hmm, that doesn't sound like enough for the 4 of them. They should be laying at least 2 eggs a week this time of year (each, that is). As we get into the heat of the summer and they naturally slow down, the one a week (again, each) would be more usual, with the understanding that if there was a really hot spell, they might stop temporarily.

I think I would check to see if there is a hidden spot...but is there really a place for them to hide them in your winter set-up?
Two or three times lately I've been aware of someone's having gone into the nest box and is sitting. But later when they're out I check and there's no egg, just a new arrangement of the fake eggs and a nice bowl in the hemp. So I was checking the dates on the eggs in the egg carton and it's been every third day. If they are eating it it's been a really clean job...

Possibly in the covered run they could lay in the corner behind the perch....but they now have access to a long outside run, most of it not anywhere good to lay, but it goes all the way over to the lilac bush, under which maybe could be a good spot. It has a bunch of leaves under it there.

It's been a bit disconcerting. Sometimes there's a lot of "I have to go lay an egg soon" vocalising and I'll check the cameras and eventually see somebody in there, but they leave later with no egg. And sometimes in there a long time. Once or twice in the last month too I'll hear an escort call, but find no egg. Then one will appear a day or two later with no announcement or anything.

Generally nobody is acting off, they're all out and about acting normally these days. A few weeks ago I kept an eye on Peanut who seemed a bit slow and uncomfortable, and that has passed. I'm stumped.

I can just imagine what this chick is thinking:

either:

Human, I've got my eye on you!

or:

Human where's the treats?

By any chance, is this Peanut?

Unfortunately I didn't label my pictures and I can't be sure! Could be, but possibly Hazel, because of the abundance of dark feathers mixed with some light, and her beak coloring. She was always very inquisitive and watchful while being tame.

The lower picture is likely Peanut though, she was always quite dark overall.

But - yes both could be Peanut! They changed so much in those two weeks - those dark feathers in the first picture....
