Well guess they don’t care the colour of the feathers.

Will you keep this batch 2 or is that your neighbours chicks?
Yes, I will keep the pullets and eat the cockerels, although I don't have the stomach to do the slaughtering... I will try to sell them. There's a cuckoo cockerel, he is sooo sweet. He loves pecking at my teeth, more specifically my braces. Shiny...

They are!
By the way @BeefQuesoritto I like your pfp! It is very cute. I love cats, and dogs, but the cats don't like my dog. I had to give Archer (my dog) to my friend because he would become coyote food. He wants to play with everything.
I assume none of your hens have gone broody yet? Hurry up, Tomatilla...
That's my cat, Goblin! He was a really ugly kitten. Big head, big eyes, big ears... He looks pretty normal now, though.

I personally haven't had a broody hen. Most of my flock is only 7 weeks old. I do have one new addition of an adult hen, but she's pretty new.

I take mine to a place that does all poultry. It a good 2.5 hrs drive though…. Expensive chicken dinner.

I feel the pain. Does he go at your lips until you open them? Philomena does.

Sheesh ! Hate when that happens! I have a couple in my coat pocket, forgot about them, bent down - crack! Crushed both 🥺 the gals enjoyed them though.

Will you let your broody girl sit on any eggs?
Well none of our eggs are fertilized since we don’t have a rooster. And with all the medical stuff going on really don’t need to be getting any more chicks this year. Maybe next year. I feel sorry for her, she is trying so hard. And when we take her off (several times a day) she is so fluffed up and has her tail all fanned out, she looks like a turkey. 😅
