Sounds like you are going to have to keep tabs on this bunch. That's a little worrisome.It's warmer, but very mucky from all the rain, we need a nice good HOT breeze to dry things up - but that is not likely. The HOT weather is out west with all the wild fires - crazy year.
I did manage to get the 2 mamas out with the babies this morning for a bit. Those Silkie babies are very 'slow' - the fourth chick which is a mutt is way more advanced, and running and leaping everywhere. Those Silkies are just so darn tiny, and just don't seem to want to follow the mamas. I had to pick them up and bring them back to the Hen House as the mamas were trying their best to scream at them to follow and they wouldn't, the fourth chick no problem, but the other three - nope I hate to call them dumb, but they seem very stupid.
Oh they can eat and pack the grub away, but they just don't seem motivated to run after the mamas.
