Wel, the dinglings went into the freezer yesterday. I think the girls are happier. They've been out more since they were moved into the garage, inspite of them still crowing.

It’s unfortunate but having been down that road before I know your girls are very happy.

What did they dress out at? How old were they? What was their breed again?

I wonder if the breeder you bought them from can give some insight into this.

I haven’t had time to go online and educate myself on colours and how they happen, why they might stop.

Do you think she is going to have a molt? That’s all I got at the moment…

Nope. She is no where near a molt and showing no signs of molting.

Have to say yet again that if I had know how much fun chickens were I would have got rid of the horses yrs ago!

Horse update:
Truly had a couple ticks on her I hauled off, but the one I guess I didn’t get the whole sucker, now she has a large egg sized swelling there. I have her on some meds for pain and swelling but I see it’s worse tonight so I guess some antibiotics are called for, also incase of Lyme disease.

Well that stinks. Poor girl.

Chicken math includes subtraction. It's hard but you did what was best.

I noticed yesterday that the Roo that was constantly crowing up the road isn’t crowing anymore. Wonder if they got rid of him or put him on the freezer.

As I was up last night (the usual leg arm thing) I realized that there was a huge upset with your gang, when Betty died

Yes I did also, I think Mr P is disappointed he doesn’t have a ‘rival’ - but soon Rico will be crowing more and I think little Penne is a Roo also

I am also suspicious of Martina, she and Rico have been scrapping and play fighting this past week. hackles raised and all ( well as much shackles as they have right now).
