So much for riding that bike.
The front tire deflated itself and I deflated the back tire to prevent the imminent boom. Looks like I will be waiting another week to ride it...

I can't believe it - I was sitting mending the electric fence (all done now) and a tick fell on my cheek. They are literally just dropping out of the sky. Presumably from the trees.
Turns out electric fence mending tools are ideal for handing ticks.
I held the squirmy little critter in my needle nosed pliers and I chopped it in half with my shears.
I fed the two halves to the baby chicks.
Very satisfying!

Tick Tax - babies went for a nap in their dust bath!

Well I put the tweens back in the office in their bin. I don’t have the brooder plate on, but I will keep the heat set in there at 17C.

Give them a can of sardines - they go bananas for that (FYI my gang do not like banana).

Mine both...and grapes, and pasta, and peanuts, and....they're not fond of carrots.
