Do you have any pallets? You could, for now until the water recedes, put some pallets on the floor of the coop to give them dry places to walk/hang out. It worked really well for my neighbor until they built their new permanent run (in a bit higher place that drains better).

It would be a good temporary fix...and maybe by the time it dries out a bit, you could then use the tractor bucket???

I just freezing doesn't kill them and nor does washing your clothes.
High heat in the dryer works. They recommend when you come inside you strip off and put all your clothes in the dryer and do a full body inspection and a hot shower.
This makes 'popping out to visit the chickens' a bit of a palaver!
Maybe you aught to use some of your cats' tick meds yourself???

Yes. I am seriously going to look into it.

You need a covered walkway! What has happened that they have exploded that much?
