Hello FBA, I haven't been posting. Here are some 3-week old pictures that I forgot to post.

Wendy (Inky butt again)

Wendy was hot. (But she has been healthy. There are still soft egg issues. I am not even sure if she is laying lately.)

Sun bathing beauties. (I think I've posted them before, but why not again)

This spring, Inky was broody May 1st to May 12th. This is pre-broody.

My blue silkie is named Inkky

Wry neck in chickens is not as rare as you think Ive seen it alot
Never seen it in mine, or my friends, and she has had Silkies and layers for years and years... She suggested that maybe if nutritional for your chick to call the feed mill and get a feed analysis from them on the nutrition.

Or she said since it's a Silkie it could be head injury.

You should. Where there is one, there are many. You need a strategy to eliminate them. I located their home and liquidated them with dry ice when I had rats.
Yes, I tried that, and it didn't work for me. :( And I used quite a bit...I think their tunnels were too vast and deep under the barn (horizontally deep, not vertically deep)

That said - catch it early, once they start multiplying, it will be near impossible to get rid of them without poison - and you DON'T want poison nor poisoned rats on your property/near the chooks nor your dogs!

TSC carries liquid permethrin that you mix up. You could designate a spray bottle to it. Last year I had mites in one of the coops and got some and mixed it up and used that. My spray bottle is marked with a sharpie that says Permethrin so it never gets accidentally used for something else. (Same as the 1 qt. spray bottle I use for White Vinegar for cleaning - clearly labeled!)
Smart! :thumbsup

Don’t 1/2 plus 1/2 equal 🟰 one?
okay ✅ I can work with that math ;)
