Hmmm, me thinks you and Sylvie WILL win out......if the door to the brooder is closedThe majority won in the end and they are all roosting on the tiny, and slightly wobbly roost inside the brooder house.
Piglet traded her vote for her choice of spot on the little roost. She created a lot of fuss as she threw each incumbent off so she could try out their slot before deciding which one she liked best.
Sylvie held out for a very long time and made a lot of noise yelling, multiple times she disrupted proceedings by running in and out of the brooder house trying to get her fellow Pentagonists to follow her lead.
She was not graceful in conceding defeat and continued to yell even after she was on the little roost and the matter was settled.
Sylvie actually had the best answer. Hers is a better roost and in a better place. But the solution is definitely a step forward from the cardboard tray.
So progress has been made, but not as fast as some (me and Sylvie) would like. Maybe Sylvie will be able to be more persuasive tomorrow.
And no, nobody should draw any parallels between tonight's roosting activities and whatever legislative process operates in your country. That is nothing like this: there are no Piglets willing to sell their votes for personal gain, and those with the best answers for the population as a whole always win the argument.
This is only how chickens behave.
Just saying.
I know. Ultimately I can close the door. I am trying to make sure they feel empowered to make their own decisions.Hmmm, me thinks you and Sylvie WILL win out......if the door to the brooder is closed
Actually, it is a perfect parallel. Majority Wins, and the losers are the loudest regarding the outcome, regardless of what it is. (about that selling out of votes, though - now that NEVER happens)
Oh, you will be sorry for that statement.I know. Ultimately I can close the door. I am trying to make sure they feel empowered to make their own decisions.
Well, within reason!
Nope. Just remember going off topic requires tax payment. @Ponypoor can explain more.Hey Y'all! It's been a while! Don't mind if I jump in do you?![]()
All right! I'll start off. I just recently renovated the coop with new fresh shavings, big, roomy nest boxes and new sturdy roosts. Unfortunately, they have somehow contracted Coccidiosis.Nope. Just remember going off topic requires tax payment. @Ponypoor can explain more.
Nice to see another Catholic homeschooler on here.
I hope you can still walk and take care of your chooks with the remaining leg and arm.All right! I'll start off. Unfortunately, they have somehow contracted Coccidiosis.I ordered Corid treatment online and spent an arm and a leg for it to get here tomorrow.
I don't want to take any death risks.
Two Mockingbirds made a nest in the rosebush by my house. Long story short, they laid 4 eggs, one fell out, 3 hatched 2 were eaten by my cat and I saved the last one, Rosie. I've been taking care of her for two days and she's been doing great but today during the afternoon she started acting lethargic and soon after she died in my arms. I'm devastated.![]()
Yes! I'm a volunteer at a Pro-Life Boot Camp for middle schoolers so that has been taking up a lot of my time and it is fun.I hope you can still walk and take care of your chooks with the remaining leg and arm.
I hope your chooks get better soon.
That is sad. In Albis destroyed a pigeon (?) egg one time and started eating it. Rest assured she got a lecture on that.
What else has been going on? Any good things? I think I am going to go to sleep soon. It is late over here (11:00 PM).
Or today, its 12:00 AM where I'm at!Yes! I'm a volunteer at a Pro-Life Boot Camp for middle schoolers so that has been taking up a lot of my time and it is fun.Oh, and my birthday is tomorrow.
