My hens, nope not happening. I think it would make it easier if they co-brooded. Instead they have to stake out their own personal area's and fight each other if the momma's bring their chicks into that space. I doubt even Chiquita being a silkie would co-brood with another silkie. She has a mine, these are all mine mentality when she is broody.
Curly and Fluffy are sisters so they grew up together and frequently go broody together. Fluffy is on the fence about staying with the chicks, leaving them mostly with Curly now. But the two of them never fought over the chicks at all, in fact they snuggled together with the chicks.

My issue was with Fluffy picking fights with other hens and losing those fights. It was far easier to hand raise my other chicks, and they integrated with the flock faster - the broody raised chicks still haven't really integrated with the flock. Or with the other chicks, I fear it will be a hard road for Penne once the mamas dump him - they already are pecking at him to drive him off.

For me it’s mowing Monday. I was in the yard mowing, surrounded by the chooks.
Suddenly the mower stopped running 🙁
Instead of getting mad, I calmly told the mower that I needed it, and that it was doing a fine job of cutting the grass. The mower then started working again for a while until I got back to the porch. (Then I put more gas in it) :D
I was going to mow, but it's apparently trim the roses day... so I have been told.

My second door for the Summer House is ready to assemble and then hang, my Uncle will be up tomorrow so that will be our chore for tomorrow. Then I can start moving chooks into the Summer House!

Probably tastes like chicken.
Likely. Frog probably tastes more like fish...

I didn't go to TSC. I DID go to a feed store though. Unfortunately, they didn't have Antibiotics for BBQ.
I will have to wait until I got to TSC to get chick food, say any hatch.
Pastel, seriously, I don't think TSC can legally sell them to you any more. I may be wrong.
Some online stores may still sell them to you if you say they are for fish. I think a vet may be your only hope.
