@BY Bob @RoyalChick (And anyone else but wanted to make sure they see this.)

I guess I have been living under a rock because I just found out about the new antibiotic rules. Chewy still has several fish variations. (Which they may continue to have, someone said the new rules don’t apply to fish antibiotics but so don’t trust the source.) My finances are really tight right now, and this stuff is expensive, but I want to buy two oral antibiotics and a tube of terramycin. So my question is, which should I buy? I have found these:
Amoxicillin
Ciprofloxacin
Cephalexin
Metronidazole

I am looking for a place that still has Baytril (edit: without a prescription) if you think that one is more important than what I listed.
Baytril is like the bazooka of antibiotics. Really heavy gun. It is still in stock at All Bird Products.
I believe fish antibiotics will remain available but I am not sure.
I think Metronidazole may be a tad specialized for what you need.
But Bob is the expert. You should pm him. He can’t give generalized antimicrobial advice on a public site given that is his profession if you see what I mean.

But it doesn’t stop the chooks from running amok.

It's true they all 3 use the same box. We do still have our small coop we used when they were little. It was too small for full-sized chickens, but not for just 1. I had thought of taking the bedding out and putting her there when I wanted her to stop being broody. I could try putting her and the eggs there. It's kind of far from the main coop, but we could move it....

My husband suggested we build in a "brooding area" into our new run when we build it. I knew chicken math would get him eventually. :gig

But maybe she's just not ready...kind of pre-broody? Like PMS? Is that a thing? She is just right at a 11-12 months old. 🤷‍♀️
I think that you should build a small brooding area for her. That's what I did for Willow.
You may need to keep putting her on the eggs, having her sit down, and then give her a treat until she is on there all of the time (except for food and water)
I think that Willow is about that age. I got her a few months before she started laying. I'll need to look at some photo dates...

That's quite a lot of McNuggets...

I'm going to a different TSC later today. Hopefully it has some of the stuff that I need. (Meaning some Polish and Silkie chicks that I can steal) Haha, and Permethrin, Vetercyn, and Betadine.
Good luck 😁

Silkies and Polish are very hard to check gender, won’t know till they crow or lay an egg. Or do what i did and do the gender DNA test.
