This one is for you @RoyalChick look at the feet. Your next level of fluffy footedness. I can tell at hatch this one will be heavily feathered on the legs and feet.

I'm making a list with all these excellent suggestions. Between RVing, home reno, and covid, I have lots and lots of disposable gloves. lol

It's going to hit 99 today and I thought I'd put out some of the electrolyte solution. It says to mix fresh every day. Has anyone mixed and left it refrigerated? I hate to throw it out, but my 4 chickens are unlikely to drink a gallon a day.

I do that. It should be fine. It is minerals and salts.

And feathered toes as well as legs? That is strangely cute in a baby. But I don’t think I am quite ready to take that step.

Thanks. Going to be 106 degrees tomorrow!!! That's not heat index, just heat! Missouri is crazy at times.

Is it bad that I'm worried to go to work at my real office and leave them with my ridiculously responsible husband?

Well, Marans with feathered legs are supposed to have feathering on the outer toe. That middle toe is supposed to be clear of feathers. I think it is a parting gift from Twig as silkies middle toes have feathering.

Opened the blinds this morning to see this- 4 impatiently waiting for the nesting boxes- then 1 said, to heck with this I'm going on- she'll have to share..

Okay, I think that I am going to go get BBQ, but first I'm going to clean my area and instruments. Wish BBQ and I luck. I will take some pictures of her foot before and after.
If I don't think that the infection is ready to come out yet, I will wait a few more days.
