Ok all have a good evening, I am going to try for some sleep, likely be back in and hr or so - dreadful rootin tootin RLS misery and aggrevation. To sleep perchance to dream….

Some Shakespeare to think upon

To be, or not to be, that is the question: Whether 'tis Nobler in the mind to suffer The Slings and Arrows of outrageous Fortune, Or to take Arms against a Sea of troubles, And by opposing end them: to die, to sleep No more; and by a sleep, to say we end The Heart-ache, and the thousand Natural shocks That Flesh is heir to? 'Tis a consummation Devoutly to be wished. To die to sleep, To sleep, perchance to Dream; Aye, there's the rub.

Shakespeare: Hamlet

It Never Rains, Man it Pours!

The reason here had been ridiculous. It is raining almost every day. Upwards of 4 inches at a time. As proof I give you the magnolia tree in bloom.View attachment 3580438View attachment 3580444

This only happens when we have a lot of rain. It is usually the result of an August or September hurricane. I figure it takes around 8 inches Ina 2 to 3 week period. We are way over that.

There is flooding all around us but rest easy we sit on the top of a knoll and are safe.

Rain tax, the Hatchday girl.

It is pouring out again.

Willow, BBQ, and Splotch.
You three girls are champs! Laying almost every day in 100+ F weather. Well, Willow, you have only been laying for two days since going broody, but I know how awesome of a layer you are.

BBQ laid the weirdest egg today... it was super long and skinny. Crazy girl. She lays long and skinny eggs, but never that long and skinny!

@Ponypoor, get some rest. You have a bunch of chooks and horses that need a well rested mum.

@BY Bob, please tell Hattie, "Have the best hatchday ever, pretty girl!"

@ChicoryBlue, keep us updated on Butters please. Sending tons if prayers and hugs.

@Desertvalleychickens, I am so sorry about Plum. By the sound of it, she was an old lady who had a nice family, human, and home. Sending hugs.

@RoyalChick, sorry to hear about you're cat. Even if he was a terror. It's always the troublesome ones that we fall in love with. (Well, all animals, at least for me)

@featherhead007, keep you and your chooks safe. Try to hang in there until you can get you're air conditioning fixed. What a jerk that decided to shoot it.

@rural mouse, keep us updated on you're broodies and Indigo.

@RebeccaBoyd, hope that you guys are doing okay after giving/selling you're horse. At least Rosie(?) Will get to ride with him and his new owner on Russ.

@ValerieF (?) Where are you? I tried looking up you're name and I couldn't find it. If you see this, I hope you're doing okay. ❤

Well, good night everyone. I will try to get on here more during the day tomorrow. Sorry that I have only really been here at night.
Stay safe and air conditioned!

True, I guess. Some of you might laugh at this but I can partially understand Shakespeare. But lots of old language used.
