It Never Rains, Man it Pours!

The reason here had been ridiculous. It is raining almost every day. Upwards of 4 inches at a time. As proof I give you the magnolia tree in bloom.View attachment 3580438View attachment 3580444

This only happens when we have a lot of rain. It is usually the result of an August or September hurricane. I figure it takes around 8 inches Ina 2 to 3 week period. We are way over that.

There is flooding all around us but rest easy we sit on the top of a knoll and are safe.

Rain tax, the Hatchday girl.

I will let mum know her tree may yet bloom again 😊

My neighbours magnolia blooms twice a year, but she is in a low area and quite swampy, lots and lots of ground water! Now I know why hers blooms twice a year!

It’s cooler inside the house, using a window AC . I thought for sure that Jaffar would appreciate coming inside and cool down.
But no, he bit me!
I offered him some pulled pork, which he ate, but then he bit me.
I checked him all over for any fleas, mites, or fly strikes. He’s clean (as we say in the business)
But he bit me again. It’s those pit bull bites, hanging on the skin.
Ya! Penne does those to my feet! My top of my instep, he grabs and won’t let go the little turkey!
