Yes Mum :)

I did call my Eye Dr and he is away on vacation, and the other Dr in the office is out on hospital rounds today.

Just taking a snack break stuffing my face full of shortbread cookies and I a being invaded by chickens... sheesh!

Cash decided it was safer on my lap... she better not poop there - oh great now I have Babe here also. Brats! It's raining so they are stuck inside and they are bored I guess.

Likely waiting so I turn my back and they are on BeakBook!

I hope that eye is okay :highfive:

I had a mad busy couple of weeks. Yesterday I thought I'd never stop. I couldn't sleep when I got to bed and today I was told many people couldn't sleep last night for some reason :barnie

Tina was supposed too finish her medication yesterday but I decided to let her have the last couple of doses today. Just as an extra boost. The last one will be before bed.

Princess has been a real caring mama to her and I think she's been making her go into the coop at night because she's not been out on the perch this past five nights.

Antibiotics need to be in the system for a certain amt of time, doubling up on a day doesn’t mean it’s better it just shortens the time it’s in the system, you want to keep the blood serum levels at a constant level, this is why it also needs to be taken at the same time (ie: 8am and 8pm if twice a day), each and every day.

The only time it will be doubled it is that initial first dose when a dr would want what is called a bolus which gets the blood serum levels up fast.

Give Tina her regular does today and tomorrow, which will be the last day. Shortening the time interval that the antibiotic is in her system could cause her to have a relapse in her infection, and also is why there are antibiotic resistant strains now - people not taking their meds properly to kill off all the bad bacteria.

Nope more like I am at that point were I don't care, thought I am at the point right now were I am once again chasing them out - I get my exercise this way hahahaha!
Hope you are beginning to get ready to go to the emergency room.
Can you see to drive? One-eyed driving is not the safest of things.

I made the mistake of giving her a double amount twice at the beginning. I then worked out a better dose for her, I split the 500mg into four doses. But because she's had several lash eggs this year I took it 9n myself too use the 2 extra dosage ro be completely finished. So she's then been taking them for 6 days instead of the five.

For the five days that would have ended yesterday but she had one this morning and will finish this tonight.

I was told penicillin or antibiotics should be between 5 to seven days so I'm hoping six days will be better.

Tomorrow afternoon she'll have yogurt to get the good bacteria into her. I've ordered chick probiotic that @BY Bob uses but really I should have ordered an equivalent in UK. silly me, now that's not coming until September. I didn't know it was coming all the way from Texas :( :th
