The bushes that Light is standing in front of look like nasturtiums. Do they have scarlet red flowers?

I have yellow jackets as well over here... had a close run in with one. I was operating my impact driver for a project and I hear a buzzing next to my ear... I think you all know by now that I am terrified of wasps and yellow jackets in particular. I got freaked out over a fly once but I just decided to be sure. Sure enough the yellow jacket flew in front of my eyes and well it was a wasp. I started slowly backing away until I was far enough away and ran with my impact driver alll the way up the steps and into my house and sat there cowering on the floor. That was quite terrifying... especially since I have an allergic reaction to bee and wasp stings.
If you’re allergic, then you did well to cower away to the house! Your action was the right thing to do. It beats having to be taken to hospital!

So I'm here today to give one of the saddest announcements to everyone here and to all my friends I've made on this thread and to everyone on this website. This pains me more than anything I've ever had to deal with, but after a long and painful amount of arguing with my mom we've decided to sell off most of my beloved hens and roosters... My mom has said that she is and I quote:

"I'm F*cking done with chickens and I want them all gone" "they were fun in the beginning, but now they are just a chore and a waste of time and money"

So I can only now have five hens and one rooster. I'm so sad and through this arguing and plan making I'm crying at just even the thought of selling me loved hens. I love them so much and they all feel like family and now I must say goodbye to most of them.😭

I'm now deciding who will stay with my flock and who will go and these are some of the hardest things I've had to do. I know for a fact I will be keeping Susan and Eda, but I don't know who else. I'm Aldo trying to decide between my two beloved boys Buff Buck and Darcy.

We are planning on using the money from selling them to get a metal horse trailer and that way we will solve the biggest problem, the wood mites that have absolutely invaded our flock and wooden coop! I'm saying this to mainly you all because I don't really have many other people who like or want to talk about chickens.

Thank you everyone so much!!!

I took Tylenol as soon as I got home. I do feel a little icky but hopefully like last time it will be short lived. Most importantly I found out today that the treatment is working. Diameter is still the same but its not raised anymore flat like a scab instead.

Mind is blown that the flu vaccine is beating back Melanoma! I will take a couple of sick days for that for sure :)
That's good news 👍

Hopefully you will heal really soon 🙏

That must be incredibly hard on you. I'm so sorry.

Thankfully you can keep the five.
There are threads here that gives good pointers on building coops. Maybe you could find something else for your remaining chickens to live in.
