I don't understand given how dangerous water is to them why they don't avoid the pool - you would think they would have an innate fear of water.
Swimming is always accidental at my house. Someone tries to fly the length of the pool or some other nonsense.

My guess would be that someone surprised Ned and he panicked and wound up in the pool. The bigger chickens are quite vicious to the littler ones right now. Sansa is taking perverse pleasure in surprising them right now. Even above eating good food.

Hey- I've only read the first page but first of all, I LOVE the name!! Can't wait to actualy start reading this thread about your beloved chickens.
Thank you. You are very kind. Don't be afraid to join the conversation in the present as well. Please comment on the old stuff if you want, I love looking back!

And here is the best dirt bath ever! I dug out my fire pit and gave all the ashes to the gals.. they LOVE it!! Of course they get up and come running cuz they think I have food! That’s why they are all gathered at the fence.. and here are some flock shots... the last pic has everyone... not an easy task either...

What a nice gift for them. Wait until they run up and shake ashes all over your white clothes.

They are not lining up for food, they are lining up to see you! Of course if you have food, that's a nice coincidence. 😉
