During Japanese Beetle season here (early July to late August), I went out almost every day to catch the blighters. I asked hubby about storing some in the freezer, for winter treats. I was amazed that he said it would be ok! So I have a gallon ziploc bag with quart sized ziploc bags of bugs in them.I'd go catch bugs for like an hour every day for them. One of my kiddos caught a dragon fly and ate it; Red caught a small frog and ate it- she just happened to turn my way as she swallowed and all I could see were 2 hind legs either side of her beak before she glutched it backVery wet Monday here! My dog barely charged the chicken coopbecause he was so wet. Still working on training him to leave it. He'll get it eventually I hope.
