And Jaffar out there, he cocorico, and growling at the moment. He’s out with all his ladies.

If I went to Kentucky, I’d probably end up buying another horse. But I do feel for you and everything that you are going through right now. I had a mother, that I had to house in a care facility. But finally she was home with my cameras watching her every move. When she passed, I sold her condominium with the cameras (best selling model ever) . The care facility didn’t like her attitude. So I hired a nurse to help. Long sad story!Seriously, chart a flight plan. I need to downsize a few hens but it is hard choosing which to let go. Karen is desperate to be a mother, I have had to break her every time this year. I know I have stated if a girl went broody towards the middle of September I would let them hatch. With everything in life going on at the moment and the limited time I have to be outside I cannot take on the stress of a hen incubating and then rearing chicks. I will also let Blueberries daughter Ducky go as a companion. She also has went broody twice this year and was broken up. Until the dust settles in my life, and I think you all know what I am implying no hen is allowed to be broody.

That is true. A tick check is a good idea. They were dropping from your trees earlier this year!![]()
Correct. Pippa is with PITA (very unusual pairing)That is not fair - it is out of focus!
But I think I see two.
Ol Blue is doing good, I haven't run over anything yet and the chickens haven't learnt to hop into the cab when I leave the door open hahahaha. So, I went through my old posts that were on this thread and I came across this:
and this:
I just had to ask Pony: How is Ol' Blue doing?
I got the coop all ready for the silkies!

I guess you will have to just play it by ear (like how I fit that in haha), see how it goes and wing it (teeheehee - I am on a roll today). The coop is 34" deep and 35" wide inside, with a nestbox divider which is removable. I think the divider makes the nest area 11 or 12 inches wide. Butters usually and sometimes Hazel sleeps in there. It's tight to turn around in but they do it.
I know some people take the divider out if there's lots of fighting over the nestbox, it then accommodates more hens because they can sit crossways, facing the roosting bars. I've been considering if that might be good to do for this integration. Reason Yes - more room to move within and do the chicken doh-see-doh; Reason No - nowhere to hide. Except I suspect Popcorn will only peck them when they're close, and won't pursue in there. Maybe.

Went to pick it up and pop goes the white part! I had to scoop as much as fit back into their littler feeder and cart this back to the garage to empty the rest.
