Have you described that to the vet? That stabbing sounds neurological to me - maybe even trouble seeing properly.
I don’t think so yet. It could be, but she’s also doing it with eyes closed, and she feels for the edge and then goes in when drinking. Sometimes she seems more “with it” than other times. It is definitely weird.

If you use their name consistently with them, then yes they are ignoring you, sorry!

The adult chickens here know their names, but I also say it with a tone of voice for each name, so I don't know if it's either, or, or both.
I’m crushed! I even bought some new treats for the chooks and almost got a pumpkin, but not yet.

Nobody here likes the wind either. Wind is not a chicken's friend.
Very windy here, and one of the fields near here that had potatoes harvested and then the farmer seeded for grass (sod), is just like a dust storm! I don’t want to know how much money in grass seed is being blown away, not to mention topsoil also!

Dirt tax

They are still working on Mr P

All 5 on my lap or the arm of the chair. Just before Pip jumped off.
Top left is Button (Blue Australorp). Bottom left is Robin, who is becoming more and more friendly. Pip (the headless)is in the middle. Top right is Sunny, and bottom right is Squeak.
Awwww so darn cute 😊

Did you get only the 4 Bielefelders and the 1 Australorp?

Some of mine know their names others not so much. But when I look at one and motion for it to come over it will. They know they are likely to get treats.

Often times I will just go and lift one up and hold, then release with a treat. This way they don’t freak out if I need to treat them for something, give a butt trim, or check nails.

Mr P is the only one who really doesn’t get handled too much. And if I need to do anything now, I do it in the evening when I do night time feeding with the horses. That way he is easier to catch and Marty doesn’t beat the crap outta me!
