This desert is now driving me nuts!
Two days ago, It was a nice high of 85 degrees with a low of 63, now the temperature suddenly dropped to a high of 69 and a low of 51!

Ijak and his daughter seem to be enjoying it, though.

Also, I'm still suspecting that Ijak is molting! When he crows, some of his neck feathers seem to be missing. I'll see if he crows later on and I'll put up pics.

And you live there why?? Work? School? All the above?

I imagine the extremes in temps would get old after a while…

Yes they are. Branch does not have a huge poof. But he is all black and it is hard to see his eyes. Branch also puts up with some of my crap. He has worn a makeshift diaper and a Santa hat. He should not bat a eye at googly eyes.

I also now follow Chookens on facebook after it was shown to me. Lovely silkies, I want them all. They shared a post yesterday that is just torture. A breeder is having a flock reduction on grow out pullets. Buffs, oh the many gorgeous buffs, whites and some blacks and partridges. I need to live in France for the Marans and Australia for those gorgeous silkies.
