I’m spending some time with Jaffar today, because he’s not too popular with his ladies, and I don’t know why
Being out there in the yard alone is no fun. So I’m feeding him and letting him watch TV

Are they chasing him away?

Have to say Mr P is being very good, he is feeling a bit better I think, his pin feathers are getting more grown out. Likely also feels better with no lice causing him the be crawling!

It’s my time to play the game ‘oh no is that a pullet? Or is it a cockerel?’ I was just checking out the Hoover Hatchery Sophia chicks.

This is 15 week old Cash - she’s a pullet - right? Her wattles and comb seem very red to me, maybe an early layer?

Thank you so much for this. We all are caught. Your vet sounds great, even though she is limited in her training.

Here's the Spuds on the high ground. I just stole one of the heating panels from the Bigs for them. Since they aren't letting them near their dry warm corner! Ida's voice doesn't sound good, and I'm watching for other signs. She is wanting to sleep here, though the others were up preening. Not sure if it's just the rhythm of the day or if she is getting more symptomatic.

Now I also have pipe cleaners. Not the big fat ones like I wanted, but Rosie picked me up a pack of black and a huge pack of multi colors that have orange and red in it as well. I have enough to work with to bring spidey-roo to life.

eek, someone very local to me is selling 5 month old silkies. They are willing to sell them individually and one of them, just one I would bet the farm is a pullet. They were listed 5 days ago. I messaged them, crossing my fingers that they still have the pullet. Please let them still have that pullet.
