That's from a few weeks ago as she was regrouping her tail feathers.

This is more recent.

Looks like she is growing them back- and her ones on her body also. I am cringing just waiting for Buttercup and Rose to start they are the only ones not moulting here so far 😟 hurry ladies winter is coming.

I am super sorry that I’ve not been on here in a few weeks. I’ve been super busy. My grades were better a day ago but I have a C in Georgia Studies. But I got a 100 on a quiz today so I’m eggspecting that to go up.
My math is a B, and I’m starting to enjoy math a little bit.
All of the chooks are fine. I have 3 pullets and one rooster from my babies.
Eli is still getting used to everyone, and with BBQ chasing her and they chicks it’s a bit chaotic.
BBQ’s feathers are finally growing back. She’s actually a really pretty hen. Splotch is starting to molt I think.
Pastel has no tail feathers left… I accidentally snapped his last one in half today when I tried to grab him. I missed and grabbed his tail feather.
Bolt isn’t laying any eggs, but I love her.
I think that the only two that are laying right now are BBQ and Splotch. I don’t think that Eli is laying anymore. She gave us a few eggs.
All of my guineas are doing fine. I keep on forgetting to bury Madame Pearl, so I still have a dead Guinea hen in my freezer. I feel so bad.
I had a horse show on Saturday. I was awake for a total of 22 hours on Saturday. It was interesting. More to come in that.
I have championship in two weeks, so I need to be very focused on horse back riding. I’m not too worried though. In December Lenny is going to be leaving… I’m not sure what I’ll do.
This is Lenny laying down at the horse show.

Below is my favorite chick. She looks a lot like Bolt. This is Crystal.

Yeah, I don't think it is fair to have regular threads competing with contest threads! That should be a whole different contest! 🤔

I hope everything settles for the GOOD, @Ribh

I agree. It does not feel right. Glad we are not in this grouping.
Agreed! Not fair, they should have some basic rules in place.

I do not. However, it is for an entirely different reason: I do not buy store chicken. All of the chicken I eat are mine ('extra' roosters and older hens) I feel it would be wrong to feed them their friends. Besides, I eat all of what I make/cook, even making broth and/or chicken soup with the remains...so there would be little if anything nutritious left. Plus, cooked chicken bones is a bad combination with a dog. He (Elroy) does peruse the chicken run on occasion - especially in the evening - we put him on rat duty! And, he is good around the chickens - though it is still only when we are out and around that he gets to be in the chicken run!

That said, I think no less of you for doing so - nor should you think less of yourself. You and @BY Bob can choose to do what you feel is right (just as I do for myself), and no one should judge, since neither of you are neglecting nor harming your feathered friends. So, the real question is: can you live with what you have done? If so, fine - drop it. If not, okay, don't beat yourself up - what is done is done, so, drop it! (See: all is okay! Let it pass from your mind either way!)
So what do you do with the remains after you have made stock/soup?
That is what I am talking about.
