There’s no real sound restrictions in this area of rural America. The almond harvest is in full swing, and even after dark, they are still shaking trees for almonds. I hope my chooks can get some sleep tonight

Here there are sound laws and no one cares. The neighbors behind us will have loud (and awful sounding) music until midnight, or even thirty minutes after midnight. The chooks don't like them.

I’m in a quandary (that’s a dilemma with attitude). What should I serve my knight for his breakfast? I have limited choices today. Scrambled eggs with sausage and cheese, or oatmeal (no salt) and yogurt.
I could stretch out some corn fritters I guess. ?
He eats by himself, away from the ladies, as not to give all his food away. View attachment 3662972

It’s those cecal poops that get me everytime - slippery stuff on laminate flooring!

I will soon need to keep that door closed all the time to keep it warm in there. But if they get a chance they are sneaking in there.

Tell them that they can come in, but just don’t poop on the floor inside that particular room!
