I got really chilled today too - it isn't really that cold, but the contrast to a few days ago really got to me.
I need to find gloves and warm hats and stuff. In the meantime I am going to bed to warm up.

Kidbitty and puppydog playing in the snow. The dog was very worried about the kid going where it was deep and kept nudging her towards shallow snow.

Told hubby I need at least rubber boots, or snow boots. Something I can wear wool socks under!

Happy Birthday!
I’ve got rubber barn boots with good tread I can slip in and out of, sized about one size bigger. I added a foot pad you can cut to size and a Dr Scholls type of arch support thing that are both insulating for the bottom, and make it feel more like a fitted boot. It’s big enough I can wear thick wool socks in there too.

Very clever.

It’s Sir Jaffar’s decision, if he chooses to stay with the girls in the coop tonight, then it’s okay by me.
But if he refuses to go inside with the rest of them, then I take that as a decision to be in the house with me. There’s no problem with his feathering, he’s not naked except for his neck. I’m giving them 30 minutes to decide.
It really is sad to see them run away from me when I reach out to touch them. Usually, they would be by my side, under my chair or in my lap at this point.

No runny poop. OK, so it sounds like I can let her do what she wants and just clean up in the morning.
I do feel sad that the BFFs are fighting. They were always so cute together!

Yes I feel that way also, cute little Petunia is turning into a little demon, she is so mean to her sisters and some of the big girls also!!

Guess they are growing up, tis the way of the chicken as Queen Aurora would tell us.

How’s your back? Hope it’s better, being cold and chilled always will make it feel worse.
