I wrap them in a towel like you would swaddle a baby, start by wrapping around those dealt wings, and if you can wrap the feet if not let the feet and left stretch back so she can’t scratch at you with those vicious claws, then I put them on their side on my lap. Then check them over. I never have help here, no one helps me ever 😟.
Yes @Lilion this is what I do. For the pullet Anna I used a short scarf, perfect size, wrapped it and tied together on her back. For adult hens I'm cutting up something longer and wider because the scarf worked so well, but a long scarf would work. I used to use an old T-shirt.

I didn't wrap their feet but when I put Anna upright on my lap I had her feet down between my knees which effectively held them straight so she couldn't climb.

Some people collect rocks for a hobby. It’s called lapidary arts and sciences. They search everywhere to find the right specimen for their collection.
I was thinking about it today. I collect rocks also, but all I have to do, is shake a bag of meally worms and my Rocks come running to me.
( Isn’t life wonderful?! )

I love your Rocks they are lovely hens 💕

They were some very lucky ladies to be rescued by you!

And lovely ladies, too.....*even if one WAS 'Miss Iron Beak"* I still miss seeing them on this thread - Patsy in particular stole my heart ❤️ ❤️ , though Lilly's antics and squirrel chasing were alway entertaining.;)
Patsy was very brave. She once ran to Hattie's rescue when she was a little one maybe 4 weeks old. A hawk was after Hattie and Patsy was running at it from across the yard. Fortunately, I was quicker than Patsy.

She was a lot like Aurora as a queen. Tough and mean but she kept Jabberwocky in his place when she wanted to.

There are days I miss Patsy greatly.

Can you do like @RoyalChick did and cut a cushion donut to put around the pressure sore? I know that that isn't such an easy spot to wrap - end up wrapping around the whole body - but maybe is you are able to do that -and have it 'last/stay put' for a couple days - then a couple without it - then wrap again with cushion donut - so it ends up being roughly half the week with the donut and half the week without it - do you think that might be enough to help it along with healing??? I'm thinking wrap it, and maybe it will last a couple of days - remove it if she hasn't managed to get it off on her own ... and a day or tow later - rewrap it with the donut? I do know she is already wary of you due to the dosing...but maybe a night time catch to dose and wrap???:idunno

Sorry, that is all I have for suggestions....other than lots of bedding. Poor dear girl, I am sure that is unpleasant - though the metacam is probably helping with teh pain from that, too - just not with healing it.

Does she sleep in a nest box, or the coop floor? Maybe you or Mrs ByBob could get a small hunk of memory foam, wrap it with an old towel or pop it into an old pillow case...put it into the nest box and cover with a bit of bedding??:idunno I once got 'display dog beds" for free (the kind that are about 1' wide by 8" deep - just so people could see/feel what the real one would be like) and was able to put 2 together to use for my Roo a year ago when he was having those neurological problems - made him a comfier bed.
I love the idea. The problem is Hattie doesn't stay still. She will start on the roost one night. Then get down to eat. Lay in front of the camera for a while. Then go into a nest box. Another night she starts out in the nest box of the Cluckle Hut. Then gets up and goes to the other end and eats. Then she moves in front of the window.

I've tried fluffing up the nest boxes and floors but the other chickens tear them apart as well. It's a tough nut at this point.

As far as a bandage, without wrapping her like a mummy, I couldn't keep one on her. I can barely give her any meloxicam she fights so hard. She is a tough old bird who I can't get near any longer. Her and Phyllis are the only hens I could always touch and who trusted me. Now she doesn't trust me at all. She won't even come close enough to take food from me anymore.

Oh Penelope just laid an egg, she hasn’t laid any since last Spring. I am so tempted to throw it under Henny, heavens know she is over 7 yrs old and I only have Dorothy from her.

But don’t even know if Mr P has been breeding her….
What could it hurt? Label it and stick it under her.
