@ChicoryBlue I hope the rubber bits work out well! And Hazel is gorgeous!

Here was the bedtime situation, Kasumi is a nestbox sleeper. Shep told me off for opening the box and taking a picture.View attachment 3689501
My sister in law said she's bringing veggie scraps just for them! Even chickens get Thanksgiving!
Oh womp womp, that’s a shame about the nest box sleeping. At least the pine needles were free!

Pulling on your chicken’s feathers is no way to make friends! :barnie
It's more gentle than running a brush through snarled hair. And I talk to then all the time....when I'm bringing treats, opening the coop, collecting eggs, closing the coop, sitting with them, cleaning up Twirp and Whiskey, checking on them, doing head count, telling Cardhu (who's taken it into her head to be skittish around me and ran out as soon as I arrived to close the coop this evening) that I'm not going any where until she's inside and I can close the coop (she came in finally), refilling water, trimming shrubs and trees near the coop. I talk to Castor and Sherlock just as much.

Skiddish, you are 100 times the chickens size. They get frightened by that. (And feathers being pulled)
