Princess is back on form. She's enjoying being where she shouldn't be in my raised vegetable bed. I couldn't ever grow veggies in there because they all loved the thing.

Yesterday someone arrived too fix my fence so she can get back under the tree she likes digging in the mud and sunning herself there.

I'm happy she has adapted and doing well again.

Partridge (and barred) rocks are like that - clearly in charge, but generally benevolent unless otherwise needed. (i.e. The look that says: Don't make me peck you - because if I have to come over there - i'll make it worth my while!)
Hattie does that as well. The look. And sometimes the growl. Then, rarely, the peck.

Well I am asking myself that. I want to try and make things darker to see if I can get Babs to take a break from her daily egg laying. Trying to make the shortest days even shorter!
Interesting. Remind me, is this Bab's first winter.

What a lovely picture of Hattie; it shows her varying color well - and even shows that she has lighter lacing on the feather tips. What understated elegance!!! 🥰 🥰 🥰 🥰 🥰 🥰
A true beauty. I have always found her stunning. I love how she floats around the yard now. Everyone else is sprinting around and she just elegantly floats by. So stately. :love

My girls all got out today. My four older girls dug nice deep holes and caught all manner of wiggly worms under the leaf litter. Meanwhile the two younger ones found different (@BY Bob approved) ways to blow off steam.:hit:idunno
A nice game of "tag the dog". I love how they entertain themselves. 😆 🤣
