How about a cat instead to start with. Dogs can be quite a handful if you’ve never had one before. They are like kids and need both love and Discipline unequal measure. Cats are more easy to handle a they tend to be indifferent to any sort of formal training. But they can be very loveable and social.

Be still my heart! Two black bearded ladies that are dual purpose - and one with Feathered legs!!! How could anyone want anything more (well, other than a few stripes, that is) Especially since they FLY, too!!! They are both so gorgeous. ( I know, your fascinator ladies are all that and a sandwich, too, but, really, I am smitten!!)

I agree, 2 lovely hens and a almost perfect picture. There is 1 thing missing, just 1 big, tiny, or even in-between thing missing. Those girls need a strong man watching over them. Who knows, he may even be able to convince the free loaders it is time to start laying.

I agree dogs are just like children and require as much attention. That being said, I love our dogs and they return that love magnified a 100 times.

We would love to have another golden retriever but the Vet costs are just too much. Vaccines alone are crazy expensive, I know my horse vet is more than willing to vax he does my cats, but my vet won’t be around forever - he is already semi retired. And the cost of feed is stupid expensive! The cat alone is about $30 for a small bag of dried food and those small cans are over $2. Thankfully she doesn’t eat too much.

Happily the chooks are paying for their keep, let’s not talk about the horses
