She would and does. But what did you expect?
If I had tagged her on that post she probably would have made a snarky comment at my expense.

She's really annoying when she makes something but won't let anyone have seconds. It's a crime against humanity to ban seconds like that.
I'm UNlucky because when I was just a little kid, and my sister was in the house, the same thing happened to me. I used to eat "quite a lot" as my parents say, and I ended up just the same 😒
(And my sister was, like, 4 years older than me, so even worse.....)

Edit: UNlucky, why in the world did I say lucky?

Sigh, here we are, the new year and already hearing of people placing chick orders or planning hatches. I will be strong, I will be strong. No chickies for me until Poppet decides to grace us with her first eggs. 1 silkie clutch is my ONLY planned hatch this year.

Notice I said planned. I have sneaky girls, they cannot be trusted and could potentially cause mayhem.
How is Poppet doing these days? Did she fill out some? I remember she was quite tiny for her age when you got her.

I am actually considering ordering me 6 chicks this spring! I’ve never done that before… always get mine from the feed stores or TSC. I didn’t know if you could only order six. But I am also afraid of what happened to Bob! I don’t think I could handle something like that😩😱😞😞😞
I’ve read a *majority* of Bob’s thread… but have to admit this isn’t ringing any bells. Dare I ask what happened? Was it related to shipping chicks?

Poppet really has grown but still tiny. I should have weighed her when I got her. I feel she has almost doubled in weight but will always be a petite hen. Still no eggs. I know good things come to those who wait, but, I am starting to just now get impatient and poke both her and Owly. Ok girls, you made it to January, eggs please, anytime you are ready.

Here here 😁 how exciting.
I’m relying on that at least one of each trio is a female 🤞🏽🤞🏽🤞🏽
In my experience with Marans you know early on 99% of the time if you have boys. 2 to 3 weeks keep a eye on their faces. Boys will pop wattles and combs pretty much over night. Good rule of thumb though, 4 weeks or younger you see a hint of wattles, its a boy.

You can lead a horse to water, but you can’t make it drink.
You can lead a skunk to fodder, but you can also make it stink!
With chickens, it’s like this: your sanity is always on the brink! :plbb

Mama and babies are i Lulu’s stall digging through her bedding, looks like Dorothynis also there, Marty is there but out of the frame.
