You were standing on one foot?

Yes, leaning over to the nest, then I turned my whole body around to catch myself..juggle an egg i guess..and land on both feet. Hard to explain. I suspect if anyone had been there it would have been quite the spectacle. Until I yelled ouch! No colorful metaphors spoken. I do have a door back behind the nest boxes. I made sure I used those every time from then on.

Well, I got the green machine repaired. Cutting deck belt needed replacing. I watched how she easily replaced the belt with a new one. No special tricks or tools needed. Next time I will do that job myself.

She was pounding on one again today! I put in two more, to mimic hens adding to the nest. We'll see.

Everywhere has been mild - so crazy! But the critters and I will take it!

Temps here are around freezing, way mild for the time of year. Not going above that, so it's stayed this way for a few days.
