Poor Mr Pompeii has an embarrassing moment this morning, he ran up to Petunia to breed her she was willing - and then when he hopped on her he tripped forward and fell off her.

Petunia did a double take unsure what happened then shook her feathers and I swear she shrugged and sashayed away

Mr Pompeii looked around, saw that I had seen that and cackled at me - likley telling me off for watching

No worries he sashes up to Blanche and did his roosterly thing and the two of them then started preening together…. Is that the chicken equivalent of a cigarette??

I had to change my emoji, mum has me all in knots the past few days. I just don’t get her at times!

Yes, but less often than a few months ago, and Babs has been able regrow the feathers on the back of her head.
More recently Bernie has been showing some interest in Pooh.

Is Pooh interested in Bernie? Maybe a new friendship starting?

That's happened here too.....and the telling off for seeing any sort of rooster oops (such as tidbitting over a rock, getting snubbed and realizing there were witnesses)

My feed store has their order list posted...with the first scheduled to arrive this week......too early for raising chicks! They sure are cute though! Lots of wyandotte, orpingtons (usually only buff), rocks (had buff ones listed too for later), australorps, EE, a few Turkeys, brahmas, sussex, and a smattering of others (hybrids, marans). I usually have to stop in just to go "awwww!"
