Poor Jaffar, I left to go to the corner store. When I returned, Jaffar was waiting at the gate, probably wanted to go with me. I didn’t know that he even saw me leaving. Broke his little Cochin heart I guess.

That means that I would have to set another place at the table for him. A church friend is coming over for dinner tonight.

Good grief. That's ridiculous. But, anyone who likes scaring animals or your animals don't like them, is not a nice person. What is it with people burning trash?!? Happening all the time here, even in the very remote area in which I keep my horses. I couldn't tell last night when I was grooming them if what I was smelling was dirt off Max or smoke. Didn't smell like wood though.

Here in Texas we have irrigation ditches and weeds grow in them. So we have a weed burning ceremony. But we don't burn trash.

I would be honored to have dinner with Sir Jaffar at the table, but your friend might feel differently.

Lovely sunny day - should dry out the mud nicely. I am out here fixing the hawk netting on flag poles on the other side of the Chicken Palace. Taking a rest as it is a bit tough on the shoulders and upper arms.
The Princesses however are having a grand old time bathing in the sunshine.
I think five of them are here.
